BX1500 - Runs rough at full throttle!

A friend put gas in his Ford diesel truck by mistake. He drove less than 5 miles before he realized his mistake. He removed the tank and and flushed the whole system.

Less than 500 miles later the injector pump had to be replaced. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Luckily he had an extended warranty. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

My brother-in-law, the ex diesel injection pump mechanic, got back to me. His reply is below:

<font color="red"> The big difference in diesel and gas is the lubrication additives that have been added to the diesel fuel. My recommendation would be to change the fuel filters and add some diesel fuel additive to the tank. He should be fine after that.
