BX1850-60 w/ 48" MMM?

I'm a bit confused, why the interest in gaining the greatest tire clearance ?

Radioman, fair question. To determine which, if either deck, might be used in combination with the larger wheels/tires modification. It appears that the 48" allows more clearance and just might be compatible with the mod.

on mine the rear tire clearance is around 1 1/2 - 2". If you put on wider tires or wheel spacers they would be very close to rubbing on the deck carrier wheels. When I turn the deck wheels 90 degrees for removing the deck they will rub on the rear tires if I raise the deck all the way.

Did you put over size tires on yours for doing tillage work? If so how did you keep the tire diameter ratio close for using the FWD? Install BX23** tires and rims?

P.S. You could always use a 3PH mower..

I am still not convinced I want to wrestle an MMM on and off. My really bad lumbar simply won't take it. A life time of severe lower back pain gives me sober pause. On another thread recently, some of the guys gave some great tips for R & R of the MM. It gave me a glimmer of hope.
