Thanks all for the congratulations! It really is a thrill to ride this, it's the first tractor of any kind I've had. I think I'll be spending the day moving snow and piles of logs around ;)

warm it up good, and keep it below 2800 rpm, but vary it a lot.

First few days doing chores. It doesn't get any better!!! Oh, remember to look behind you and see what you're backing into while watching out in front for what you swinging your bucket into!!:D:D:D

Congrat's on the new t(oy)ractor! You'll love that 1860. I run mine plowing snow with turfs and only a few suitcase weights on the back and have had no traction issues except once during the last storm when I drove the front wheels off the driveway and over a drop off (couldn't judge the edge with all the snow). You'll likely need more weight on the back then I have if you're using the loader for snow removal.

I did note your ballast box is different than the one delivered with mine. I wonder if Kubota redesigned it, or they sent your or me one for another model. I think they use the same size for the BX and B series and just spec less weight to be added for a BX. Either way, should work fine. Enjoy!

Very Nice machine! Fun ain't it?

I swap to the bar tires in the winter since I do a bit of "off-roading", but if your mostly staying on your drive, it should work fine with the turfs. I drive around my house in the yard to plow the sidewalks and I need the bar tires, 4wd and the diff lock engaged to get through 10+ inches of snow.

I don't use a ballast box, but it is nice to have the backblade on for some additional weight. My rear tires are loaded and I'm a svelte 280, so it does ok. lol

Here's mine moving some big logs.
