Price Check BX1860 FEL 54" MMM Box Scraper 70 hrs - How much?

Found a used BX1860 from a private party.

Has all the toys, FEL, 54" mid mount mower deck and a nice box scraper. He's asking $9,800. Says he paid $13,100 for everything, which sound about right.

Is $9800 a fair market price, a good deal for me or something else? (of course, I'll offer something less to start with...)

Tractor functions and looks good - unfortunately, its still financed by Kubota, so that's a hoop to jump through. Suppose I'll have to get a cashier's check made out to them or something.

Looking for your thoughts on price and how to make sure the lien is cleared.

Price seems fair, unless your financing with an interest bearing loan. If so, then the monthly payment for a new one may be the same or less than the monthly payment for the used one.
If your a cash buyer then you can contact Kubota Credit Corp with the loan number (which your seller should have) and discuss payment/pay off with them. If your financing, they may offer you a loan at a lower interest rate than your other source.
Cash may be King but when it comes to new Kubotas with their 0% Interest for 60 months with no money down it becomes a totally different issue. New Kubotas are usually owned by Kubota and not the dealer which gets no more or no less money for a cash or financed deal. There is a small rebate/discount for cash buyers but it never offsets the savings in finance charges for the financing buyer.

I recently picked up this BX2360, as shown, for right at that amount. Cash. Since your deal includes an MMM, I'd say it is a very good deal. Do yourself a favor though and push a bit, as you mentioned. Take out a wad of $100 bills and offer him $9400. Bet he takes it. LOL

Ask if the 50 hour service was done, as that will cost you $120 in fluids/filters to factor into things.
