BX1880 yay or nay?

Im considering the 1880 as well. I have an M59 (love it, but it would kill my lawn) and a crappy Craftsman riding mower which is on its 4th transmission in 3 years. I want a decent mower that can use farm diesel, and it would be nice if it had a loader for cleaning stalls where my M59 won't fit. The smaller BX isnt much more expensive than a small diesel riding mower with no loader, and the 0% financing is appealing also. Does the midmount mower and bagger work at least as well as a regular riding mower?
Worked much better. I went through several craftsman's and a Husqvarna. They all crapped out on me, but the 1880 was still going strong at 17 years when i sold it. It cut grass better than the riding mowers i listed. I never had the drive over deck, still don't with my new 2380. With a garage floor, it's not hard to move around.

I have the 1880 as well, with the bagger. I can't compare to other riders or ZT's as I have never owned them. But compared to a highly rated toro walk behind mower, I can't tell the difference. The grass catcher for the bx is (a) expensive and (b) moderately time consuming to install & remove. It prevents you from using 3-point implements when its installed. So if you routinely use your 3-point the bagger might be a point of frustration. The bagger itself works great both on grass clippings and leaves etc.
