DC,

Who are you dealing with at Byrd? Dave or Jeremy?

. Can your BX22 mow with the MMM with both the FEL & BH attached?
The mower deck will not go to the lower settings due to the 3pt lift arms limited travel. They rest on the backhoe platform.

Do you have a web address for Byrd? I searched on "Byrd Tractor", and byrdtractor.com is a JD dealer in NC.

Thanks

Tell ya what, I pulled the toothbar off to move 13 tons of rock I had delivered that was put on my driveway. The little BX22 took it all in stride and not one rock did I have to move via wheelbarrow.

I needed about 4 scoops of dirt for the wife's flower bed as well so I went into the woods to scrape off some topsoil with the loader. Lemme tell ya, that loader without a toothbar is like eating a peanut butter sandwich with no jam. I could not believe the difference without the toothbar.....it eventually scooped up some dirt with the standard cutting edge, but it required several back and forth runs at the ground, lots of tractor grunting and straining to breakout the FEL. With the toothbar, it's like a hot knife through butter.

You might want to reconsider the weighted tires because of the backhoe. The backhoe manual says (bottom page 8):
"- Do not add liquid ballast or any other weights to the front tires.
- While BT600 backhoe is installed on the tractor, liquid ballast in the rear tires should be removed."

My dealer expressed concern about using the toothbar in the gravel soil that I have. He thinks it may be too much for the BX, and recommends rippers instead. I call it gravel, but its most filed stones and smaller, with a bit of sand mixed in. Anyone else have experience with a BX FEL with toothbar in this type of soil?

I think your tool bar is a great idea, I have read were other tractor owner have used one to dig dirt/rocks!
