Does anybody know what changed from the LA211 to the BX22's LA210 (and why)? Since most loader specs and the pump output are unchanged, did they make a design change to improve on the LA211? Did they just measure differently? Is there a bypass valve controlling breakout force that they changed to add a safety factor for the frame (and homeowner)?
I'm more interested in WHY they didn't just use the LA211 again. The BX22 brochure shows that either one fits. There are two tractors shown on the cover. One has the LA210 and the other the LA211. The "foldable ROPS" shot has the LA211.
Spec differences (older LA211/ newer LA210)
Max. lift height: 71.3" / 70.1"
Digging depth: 4.7" / 3.0" (LA210 says "with level bucket")
Breakout force: 950lb / 845lb
If digging (not trenching) while using a "little" 10" BH bucket to break up a few square yards and the FEL to move the loosened dirt a distance, less depth might be noticable. Lower max. height is minor, but the LA211 at full height reaches my deck's railing so I can grab firewood from the bucket and put it on the small covered rack we use all winter.
I'm thinking about switching from my BX2200 to a BX22. We need several drainage ditches, foundations cleared to enable waterproofing, cutting into a slope for steps, etc. Just checking out the BX22 while waiting for supply/demand to balance out.
