Hey everyone just wanted to know if anyone else has experienced the two things I did today with my BX
I turned the ignition switch on today and the left rear signal light stayed on steady along with the indicator on the dash. It would go off sometimes after starting but then come back on a few minutes later. Then later on in the day the right signal kept blinking by itself occasionally.....A bad signal switch maybe?
The other thing I noticed is that my radiator overfill tank keeps filling up more and more and had been coming out the overflow tube some. I opened the radiator and it was low enough I couldn't see any antifreeze at all. So I filled it up ...started it.... let it run for awhile with the radiator cap off to burp it just in case it had some air in the system. I then noticed the bottom hose stayed very cool...Not even luke warm to the touch. It did look like it was circulating ok and it has never overheated at anytime. Any ideas??? I guess i don't get why my tank would keep filling over time. It should be filling up some when hot and pulling down as it cools off. It has just kept filling up and filling up till it reached the top /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gifI only have just 53 hours on the BX. Thanks in advance...... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I'll take a guess that you either have a defective radiator cap or a kink in the hose to the coolant recovery jug that isn't letting it pull the coolant back as it cools.

I agree with Bird. The system is pressurized and the cap must be sealed correctly. Make sure it's on tight and right. If you still have issues I'd replace the cap.

Sounds like the radiator cap and maybe a bit of thermostat thrown in for good measure. Make sure your screens are clear of debris. Do you have a cab with a heater? (One of my hoses was "holed" by a drive shaft)
With so few hours I would be calling the dealer to have him/her come out and check everything out under warranty.

I agree with the above on the water problem. As for the lights you have discovered the weakest link in these otherwise fine machines. I would bet the last time you ran your BX you either washed it , were in some dusty conditions, or both. The switches for the lights are the culprit. You can take them apart and clean residue, dust, or corrision from them and they will work properly...for a while /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif I plan on replacing mine completely with some heavy duty weather proof switches that are more in line with the quality of the rest of the machine.

Thanks to everyone for the info.... I am going to call my dealer this morning and find out what they will do for me. I hope it will be quick to.....I have alot of lawn to mow! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif.
Well I used the BX the day before and did some light work with it. I didn't wash it or anything. So I dunno.....But it did get weird....Lights on lights off a flash here and a flash there....Goofy I tell ya. I guess I will find out how good my dealer is on service.

Maybe your machine has a personality.../forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Well the problems were solved with a new radiator cap and a new blinker switch. All is well now.....Thanks for the replies. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
