The tooth bar teeth are attached to a framework. The back of the teeth slide over you're original cutting edge and the whole setup is bolted at either side of the bucket. I put it on for digging and take it off if I'm grading something out that I want smooth. The stock cutting edge will dig pretty well, but adding the toothbar is like putting headers on a small block chevy; it really brings out the best performance of the fel.

If your local dealer has a good reputation he may be your best choice. Best bet is to check around and see what folks have to say about him.
