If anyone has replaced a BX22 (or BX2200) FEL bucket curl cylinder, I'm interested in knowing if you were able to acquire one that matched OEM 1.25" pin size (and from where) or if you opted to go with a readily available 1" pin cylinder and implement bushings? All these years with moving nearly 80 ton of "stuff" when I was preparing the ground for my new shop building has done a number on the cylinder. OEM, if even still available is "big bucks" based on when I was seeking a replacement for the BH curl cylinder a couple years ago. (went third party for that for about a third of the OEM cost). Thanks in advance for any input.

Just to bring closure and after reviewing the excellent tutorial and checking with one of my three local Kubota dealers, I'm going to let them do the rebuild. The parts are about $55 and given the need to buy a bunch of tools that I'd never use again, their $200 estimate for labor is reasonable. And I don't particularly enjoy that level of "wrenching", either. This isn't out of line with what a replacement cylinder would likely cost, either, if one with the correct pin size could be found.

You might consider going to a regular hydraulic shop and let them do the job. A couple years ago I had both curl cylinders on my LA 402 loader rebuild and cost me $100 each out the door.

They sourced all the parts they needed themselves and the cylinders have performed flawlessly.

I've already dropped it off, Henro, but will keep that in mind for any future needs. There's not much in the way of "hydraulic shops" nearby, to the best of my knowledge but I'll be sure to look into it.

Final bill at the local dealer I used for the rebuild... $179. I have zero issue with that. I suspect the combo of the parts and tools I would have had to buy would have been at least that much.
