I just got a new Kubota BX2200.

Can you tell me how your 3-pt hitch operation lever functions.

The manual says when you set it to raise or lower it automatically returns to the neutral position.

When I raise it, once it gets to the top it releases and the lever returns past neutral and lowers the impletements again.

There is a spring on the rod with a lock collar and a set screw attached to the lever--it is likely that this collar is pushed in to far agaisnt the spring resulting in the bounce back you mention. It is a minor adjustment, loosen the set screw and allow the spring to relax, even some slop.
Stop--do not return your tractor because of this--it is a minor adjustment--if you do not see it in the manual have your dealer make the adjustment and you watch so next time you can do it. J

I see what you are talkiing about, but there already is slack in the spring.
I've had the dealer make this adjustment and still no luck.
He said he is contacting the distributor any other suggestions would be appreciated.

that should not be happening. that all should have been checked out by dealer BEFORE delivery. i am adament on a new machine working properly. u should not have to mess with it. sorry but i just get upset, when u buy something , it should work correctly. it should never have left the dealer in that condition. anyone disagree?

I don't disagree, Frank, but I think we all know that it happens with all kinds of products; not just tractors, so I don't usually get upset if the dealer/manufacturer gets it fixed in a reasonable amount of time.

I agree that nothing is free or error free, and that you should work with the dealer. However, I also agree that the proper functioning of the 3ph should be one of the most obvious things to be tested. I remember that the guy who delivered me my first tractor, a BX, showed me a check list of all the things they had checked before delivery, and he then proceeded to demonstrate to me every single one of them. Eager to hop on my new toy, I finally stopped him and told him I trusted that they had done their job.

My new, on Wednesday, BX2200 has the same problem. It is a pain. I also looked at the spring tension and it seems to be fairly loose in the nutral position. I am calling the dealer today and will let you know how it turns out.

On a better note, this puppy will cut some grass! I have the 60" mid deck and cut my 3.5 hour grass mowing down to 1 hour and it looks much better! I don't even have to get out the weed eater to cut the bank as this guy goes up it with no problem.

Both of you guys need to loosen that collar I told you about and then raise the three point and then set it. J

Quess what you were right.
It was so simple I am embarrassed for the dealer, who's ear I am going to bend about this.
I am Attaching a picture of the evil little spring.
