BX2200 Air Filter bracket replacement .... again!

"I've never idled at the lowest setting as this is where it vibrates the most. When I'm idleing I always bump the rpm up to the sweet spot where it evens out nice and smooth. Perhaps this may be a contributing factor to the longevity of my BX23's air filter brkt as well as the other assemblys... This sweet spot is where I start and shutdown the engine."

It doesn't take much to reset the idle stop on the injector pump. I haven't broken the bracket since raising the idle speed.

Well, after 10.5 yrs and 675 hours the strap finally broke. Will look to fabricate something so that vibration will somewhat be minimized better than current config.

ibnxe - How's that new bracket location holding up? I am about to install the forth new bracket. My OEM bracket broke the strap, but the new improved brackets are breaking across the engine mounting bolt holes.

Ive been using zip ties for about 2000hrs. I think Iv only had to renew them twice.

I am at 588 hours now. The the air filter bracket looks as good as the day I fabricated it. Not too long back I saw what looked like a later BX series, where nearly the same thing was done, only the air filter housing was attached to the firewall.
