BX2200 air filter bracket

Has anyone solved the continuous breaking of the air filter bracket. The last one I bought was a 2 piece, last year. Lasted maybe a year.

FWIW, I gave up on the bracket & fastened a short bungee cord across the filter on mine. Bungee will flex with engine vibrations & not break.

I welded mine back together.

A couple big zip ties will handle it for years.

Ditto on the zip ties. I had to do that method the first time it broke until I had the time to weld it.

The spot welds on the original and the replacement are junk. I just welded it up like crazy, sanded it up, and painted it. Been holding for a long time now.
