It broke on the BX 1500 that I was demoing, sound like a real defective part, the tractor only had eight hours.

Attached is pic 1 of 3 showing the canvas hose strap that was modified to hold air filter in place. Very effective, flexible hold without breaking. Any wide strap, maybe even part of an old nylon tow strap, would seem to work.
My BX2200 has 1195 hours and it works for me.

Attached is pic 1 of 3 showing the canvas hose strap that was modified to hold air filter in place. Very effective, flexible hold without breaking. Any wide strap, maybe even part of an old nylon tow strap, would seem to work.

Note- sorry if I got your handle wrong on earlier posts.
Also, at home improvement centers, check out the plumbing section for a variety of wide hoses that could be cut to length as needed. Some of the hoses are nylon reinforced too, such as the hose for trash-water pumping. Use a soldering iron or other heat source to seal the loose threads on the hose after cutting and you should be good to go.
