PhilNH5,

You have to watch them women. My 13 year old daughter won't let me mow anymore. That has become her job. If it wasn't that I thought I should stick around for her age I would be in doing the dishes while she mowed. But then, she stole me 4 wheeler also.

Phil,

Congratulations on the tractor. Having snow on the ground is a great way to get some practice using the loader. Have fun!

On a serious note, please read the various posts on this board in regards to tractor safety, and I recommend your daughter and anyone else who will use the tractor be familiar with basic safety precautions.

Since it looks like snow removal will be one of the jobs for your new tractor, either a 3 pt. mount snowblower or a 5' rear blade would be a nice counterweight for the loader up front. The blower is pricier, but if you have a lot of snow to move, it's a good investment. The rear blade is much cheaper and might have some use during the rest of the year as well.

Good Luck, and enjoy your new tractor...if you ever get on it. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Ed,
No, I never had any good dealings/feelings about them. I went to Chappel Tractor in Milford, NH.

I get my BX2200 tomorrow. I paid $13200 for the tractor, fel, Curtis softside cab with heat and defrost, and a rear grader blade. I bought it in Plaistow. I agree with you that tractor prices in New England seem to be high. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

As soon as I sell my Wheel Horse 520H I will be buying the same mowing deck you spoke about and hopefully a front mounted snow blower. I am pretty well hooked on blowing snow rather than pushing it.

I don't have a Daughter to fight with over who gets to play with the tractor, though! /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Bob,
Congratulations!! I just came in from using the FEL to plow this snow we are not supposed to be getting. For the time being it is still fun.

Sounds like you got a good deal in Plaistow. I never could get a decent quote from them. Very nice store though. They sell Toro. Did you try to trade in your 520H on the BX?

I have to sell my Toro 314H Classic in the spring. Right now it is in the back shed and I have plow piles preventing me from getting at it. My house is in a valley so between the hill and my garage that spot gets no sun. Before I brought the BX I had visions of shovelling the plow piles by hand so I could get the Toro out to cut the grass. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Congrats again. Post some pics when you get it.
