BX2200 FEL capacity

Does anybody know exactly how much the LA211 can lift? I know the specs from the factory, but I was wondering if anyone has added a known weight until it can't lift anymore.

The reason I'm asking is that last night I lifted a little over 700 lbs with my BX...6 ft high! I had a lot of weight on the back and i lifted 9- 80lb bags of cement mix over a barrier to help make a backstop for a shooting range. And to tell the truth, outside of feeling the weight with the tractor shifting a bit, the little BX didn't even groan or anything...the engine didn't even lug. seems with enough counterweight you can lift quite a bit over the listed specs...being cautious of course...

I've not tested the maximum lift of the FEL but suspect the specs from Kubota have more to do with the safe operation of the tractor when lifting than it's actual maximum lifting capabilities. From a liability standpoint, Kubota has probably put the specs at the low end of the lifting scale. Just my 2 cents.

Charlie, I agree that Kubota's specs may be a bit conservative, but I had occasion to move nine 80# bags of Sakcrete at a time in the LA401 loader on my B2710 this past summer and it's hard to believe the LA211 could handle that. Let's just say I'm very surprised.

I was too, Bird. I didn't expect it'd lift that much. But I put 6 bags in, and it lifted it so easily that I put in 3 more, expecting the reliefs to kick in. Instead, it lifted them just fine. I wish I coulda got a pic of that, but it was down at my brother's place, in his pole barn...just enough down the road that I didn't want to run home for the digital...but next weekend, we might put in some more concrete and if we do, I'll be sure to take it with me...

Hope everyone had a great Christmas or Festivus (the festival for the rest of us), I too have easily listed 6 bags of concrete plus a couple of bales of hay. With the boxblade out back there was no particular imbalance and the loader lifted it easily. I am not sure exactly what determines their specs but I am reasonably sure the specs for other Kubota tractors are equally conservative. Since the beginning it has been one of the main "stated" drawbacks to the little BX--that the loader is lacking--and as many people are finding out, it works just dandy.
