BX2200 Filter 70000-74034

I was out doing an oil change and noticed the dealer gave a different filter this time. The filter 70000-74034 is much larger than the one I took off and the rubber gasket is about 1/8 - 1/4 smaller in diameter. Anyone know if this is the correct filter for a BX2200?

If my mellon is correct, the XXX-74034 is a hyd filter and that is the correct one. I have the BX22 but they are the same engine etc.

I know when I changed my engine oil over to Amsoil 15w-40 (I still use Kubota filters for now) and the new oil filter (70000-15241) number is different and the filter is much smaller, but correct.

My quick reference guide lists

Engine oil filter: (15241-32090 oem) or (70000-74034 ecn)
Hydraulic oil filter: k2561-36990
Fuel filter: 12581-43012 (2 needed)
Air filter: k1211-82320

looks like you can use either oil filters

So what I am reading is that this engine oil filter will work with my tractor....PEMAD

I just changed the oil on sunday and used the (70000-74034 ecn) filter and that was the filter I recieved from my kubota dealer the only difference I saw was the rubber seal, filter was the same size. Used tractor today for a few hours with no leaks. those numbers came off of the computer print out from my dealers computer for a D905-E-BX engine. He gave me a print out of all filter #s. it should take either one and make sure you check the oil level, the manual states 2.6 u.s. quarts with filter. that did not even read on stick. took almost 4 quarts.

Thats weird because I thought the BX2200 and the BX22 used the same filters etc.

The 7000-74034 is the larger/longer (5" long) one and the 70000-15241 is the smaller (4" long) one. They are used in the hyd filter and the oil filter respectfully (both White filters and made south of the boarder). The original filters were Grey and Made in Japan.

I was given a filter with a part # (70000-74034 ecn) but only can find part # (15241-32090 oem) on your site and parts list. can you tell me if I used the right filter # (70000-74034 ecn) and what is the difference between the two?

The original filter part number 15241-32090 has now been replaced by part number 70000-15241.
Part number 70000-74034 is also listed as an economy replacement filter.
So 70000-15241 or 70000-74034 will work.
The 70000-15241 is identical in size to the original 15241-32090 that was made in Japan.
The last time we tried to order the 15241-32090 Kubota changed the part number to 70000-15241.
The problem with all the confusion is that Kubota has been trying to find a filter company that could manufacture a filter to their standards. Looks like they have finally achieved this.

Thanks for the filter numbers. I also found that the book is wrong on the amount of oil. My dealer was also clueless. Mine took right at 4 quarts. Maybe they changed the engine and did not update the book. The Japanese are not the best at writing manuals.

Just wanted let everyone know that the 70000-74034 filter is NOT correct for the BX2200. The dealer replaced it with a 70000-15241.
