Today I bought a 2001 BX2200 to give to my Dad for Christmas and wanted to get folks opinion on my purchase. The tractor has 400 hours on it, LA211 loader, 60" belly mower, 4' box blade and 4' bushhog. The bushhog is about a year old. I paid $7000 dollars for everything. The tractor was always stored outside and the paint is pretty faded, but there are no dents or scratches on any of the sheet metal. A lot of the decals also need replaced. The seat needs replaced, but the unit runs great everthing is in working order. I think after a good cleaning and buffing, I can have it looking pretty good in a couple of weeks.

I can't wait to see my Dad's face when I hand him the keys Christmas day!

I think this is a good price. What do you guys think?

Seems like a good price to me as well.

A bit of rubbing compound applied to the paint may do wonders for its appearance.

Lucky Dad!

BustMup, That was a tremendous deal! I've bought and sold 5 BX series in the last 2 years and have 2 on-hand right now. Great job!

Tractor might need some service (fluid, filters, MMM blades sharpened) but is barely broken in as another poster stated.

Dad's gonna be real happy!

Great present, Son :D
If'n my offspring was to give me a nice tractor for Christmas, why I'd include her in my Will :D

What you need to do is either video the event or have someone taking alot of pics, then post 'em here :D

Thanks for the positive feedback. I want to change all fluids and filters. I also want to get it all cleaned and shined up. Hopefully all this can happen before December 25th, If not, then sometime after the first of the year. I plan on takening pictures and will post here.

If I lived closer to you, I'd come over in the evenings and help you shine 'er up. Your dad's lucky to have someone like you around.

You can probably get decal sets for this machine too if you want it to look good. Buff it up, put a few new decals on it and it'll look new too!
