I installed the snowblower for the winter season today. The question I have is the movable support that holds up the PTO shaft on the blower, does it remain up and in contact with the plastic shield, or do you move it down/ flat when you are done installing the PTO shaft??

Thanks

flip the support down so that the shaft runs free....also, remember to get some bar oil for the chain drive on the blower.
You'll be impressed with the amount of snow that the blower throws...watch the chute direction or you can fill up a neighbor's drive or blow squirrels out of trees.

Thanks Sandy,

I added a motor to turn the chute no more hand cranking to get it around. I also added another motor to move the top of chute up and down. I cannot wait for snow this year. Both motors were less then $100 plus a little fabrication. If anyone wants pictures let me know.

I would recommend adding some sort of sheild around your motor & wiring (see photo). Last year, I ran into problems of to much pressure on them when in reverse, breaking my connection. but not this year /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Bird,

Does the rotation worm gear make a lot of noise when it turns? It seems it hits on one spot and makes a lot of noise when it turns on my set up. Did you use the stock gear or did you upgrade to the gear for Kubota'a motor for the snow blower?

What happen to me once, was the set screw was not tight enough. It would make noise & would refuse to move.

The only other thing I can think of would be a small piece of sand/rock around/under the chute.

It's all kubota acc on mine.

Hope this helps.
