BX2200 Grille Guard

I understand that Kubota makes two different grille guards for the BX series. A front bumper/weight bracket and a plain grille guard.

I am wondering if anybody has either of these and if so a picture would be much appreciated.

The bumper weight bracket is a u shaped channel for hooking weights on. The grill guard is a loop of steel that protects the front of the tractor most useful when using the FEL. I beleive any welder could mod the grill guard to accept a couple of weights. Most of the BX pics posted in various threads on TBN have grill guards.

The "grill guard" is in every photo with a FEL in the Kubota brochure. The "weight bracket" is only pictured in the owner's manual. I have a scanner and manual at home, and could try to e-mail you a picture at home if you like, but I'm way to techno-ignorant to figure out how to post a picture here.

I just ordered my BX2200 yesterday. I really didn't need the FEL yet (no posts about that, please, guys!) so I got the front weight bracket instead, since I mow around posts and want to protect the front of the tractor. The Weight bracket sticks out a ways from the front of the tractor, you might want to check to be sure it's compatible with the FEL. Most people with a FEL can use that for front ballast, and therefore do not need the weights when using a rear implement. I will eventually need weights, so I'm putting the bracket on from the get-go. IMO, the grill guard is overkill without a FEL.
