If I wanted to get replacement headlamp bulbs for my BX2200, what would you folks recommend. I would like to get the brightest bulbs possible, yet the safest for the machine as well. Thanks!

Adam,

I was told one of the new features on the BX2230 would be improved headlights. Once it is released I'm curious as to how they are improved and if they will interchange with the "old" BX2200. It may be worth waiting to see...

Later days,

I removed the headlamp bulb on my BX 22 today and they are marked 40W/48W and have a dual filiment in them. The way the factory has wired them, only the 48W terminal is energized. I was thinking of running a jumper wire to the 40W terminal so both filiments would be illuminating. Is there any down side to doing this?

First thing I'd think about is heat. They could produce enough heat to substantially shorten the lamp life. Depends on the adjacent material, could also damage something...............chim

I saw the new 2200 last Monday, or the new number they use.

The headlights did look different. They also had more tail lights.

Didn't have time at the moment to really check it out.

I too am wondering. Brighter Headlamps? Why extra tail lights?
