I was out the other night working. I turned on the headlights early on and they worked fine. Turned them off because it was still light enough out they didn't make any difference. But when it DID get dark, turned them on and "nothing". All other lights work but not headlights.
Looked briefly at the lights and swith to see if something came unplugged but did not see anything .

You should have a fuse for the lights. I'm not quite sure where it is on your tractor.

But you also posted an issue about a hydraulic leak - sounds like your dealer might not have done the best job assembling your tractor. (These are shipped in crates to the dealers and final assembly is done "on site".) Get their attention and have them make good or bump it up to Kubota's local rep. Make sure you don't let warranty work slide - that's part of what you pay for with a new tractor.

If its not the wiring or fuse, its probably the switch itself. I've had mine go out twice now. The switch seems to function, but if you get a feel for it, you can tell its not "snapping" when you move the rocker. The switch can be removed and taken apart. Inside there is a copper "rocker" contact that sometimes gets bent (loses its spring tension) I put a little extra bend in it, cleaned off the contact points, and re-installed it and it worked fine for about a year. Then it happened again. Keep in mind I probably only use my headlights a half a dozen times a year. I think Kubota could have put a little better grade switch in the tractor for the money I paid.

I agree, the switches are low quality. I had to change out the turn signal switch because it wouldn't shut off.

Checking out the headlight switch is easy. Just jumper around it and see if the lights come on.

No matter what you find to be the problem I still think the switches are junk.
