Update. Tank off showing how to avoid emptying but no idea from where it's leaking and would need to feed fuel somehow to see but stopping for the night. 5 last pictures attached

UPDATE: relating to last photo with blue dye in hydraulic fluid showing where the leak is emanating from... I need to figure out how to remove the fuel tank. Wondering if I need to empty it or if it can be loosened and move enough to address the leak or at least determine the source if / what parts are needed... I had already emptied it a week back to clear some blockage etc... and refilled it to do a job...

2001 bx2200 hydraulic leak @ rear right side per clip from video, above the filter, when running. Ideas welcome... Thanks...

Been looking online and in the shop manual to find process but as stated to start from top, it means remove seat, metal behind floor for acces to inspect?

Seat and floor are off... need to find how to remove the fuel tank.

Suspicion from the start looking more and more likely: is that the inaccessible bolt that holds the HST in place (top right looking forward) was loose and loosened more but per pics, still cannot get to it but maybe it's something else. Anyone know from the pics here by chance what it might be?

Any hints as to where the fuel tank fastenings are... checking manual for that but I find it hard to find much in there...

Adding diagrams... gasket? Is that a challenge to do? Should I call a tech or continue on my own?

So you're saying you think the leak is the gasket between the two housings of the hydrosatat unit? If so, the unit needs to come out of the tractor and be disassembled down to said gasket. Probably not a homeowner project, but then again some homeowners are better at this sort of stuff than others.

I'm not so sure about that now as it couldn't gush like it does from a gasket failure. I agree / already decided that if the unit needs to come off that the tech will likely be making a visit. I removed the fuel tank and using a funnel in the fuel line, ran it to see more clearly where the fluid is emanating from but need help from an experienced person to figure it out. I have a series of videos... with a screenshot from one of them here.

Sure it is not coming from the hydraulic distribution block just above the axle. Also has your relief valve. Has 3 hard hydro lines going to it. I've had line crack right at the block. If you need the service manual PM me.

Thanks. Not sure what your input is albeit appreciated. I do have the shop manual. Do you think it's cracked?

That block with the 3 lines there are o-rings sealing it to the pump, plus the 3 hyd lines. Just one of the more likely places to develop a hydro leak.
I think they call it a control valve assy.
ON mine the line cracked after about 3000 hours and soaked the entire rear housing. Just a thought...
I have 4500 hours on the little tractor now pretty much broke everything possible at least once...
