Should a bx2200 be able to lift the front end by rolling the bucket? I can get it to lift the front end by rolling the bucket and then putting the arms all the way down, but if the arms are down and the bucket is level it will not lift by rolling. Thanks.

sounds like you found your float mode! ;) Do this- do the same thing you were doing and when you find its "not working", release the lever and do again. you will find it will curl now.

The curl on my BX2200 is not strong enough to lift the tractor simply by curling the bucket forward. If anyone with a BX2200 can say different, I will certainly be checking my hydraulic pressure soon.

Just to clarify, I CAN raise the arms, curl the bucket completely forward, then lower the arms, thereby lifting the tractor.

I CANNOT put the bottom of the bucket flat on the ground, and then lift the tractor merely by curling the bucket forward. The single cylinder is just too weak for that.

I agree with EE Bota

I agree with EE Bota as well. Not enough oomph in the curl cylinder to lift the front of the tractor. There is enough oomph in the lift cylinders to lift both rears off the ground with loaded tires and a heavy box blade on the back!

As was said before, if you need to lift the front, curl the bucket down before pushing down with the arms.

Does the FEL valve go into relief when you try curling the bucket down from flat?

Same thing with BX24..

Nope, won't do it.

There's a detent as you move the control lever to the right (the dump direction) Push the lever past this detent and you will have more power in the dump direction. The control valve has a "regeneration" function that makes the bucket dump quickly but reduces available force. Passing this detent bypasses the regen.
