Hi, I have an early 2000's model BX2200 tractor. Trying to get a new LA-211 loader to work. We ran the hydraulic lines per the installation manual and were unable to get the loader to work. Basically installed a block onto the transmission with following lines, power, power beyond and return. All the lines are run per the manual. With the tractor running and at operating speed the loader is unresponsive.

We ended up trying the loader on a newer BX and the loader is good. Seems to be an issue with hydraulics on the older BX2200 tractor. The 3 point hitch works but the hydraulics for the loader don't seem to want to work.

Any tricks to find out the culprit?

Any unusual sounds when running? I would take the quick connects off of the tractor side, turn the tractor on and move the lever to make sure you have fluid flow and that they are plumbed correctly (rather than being mixed up).

No unusual sounds. We are suspicious that there is another set up option. The manual mentions an EC tractor in the instructions but the instructions are unclear. I double checked the lines and they are all labeled and plumbed properly.

What could cause the 3 point to work but not the loader?

I would have 3 guesses:
1. Bad quick disconnects
2. One hose from the bucket mixed up with a hose for the lift
3. Bad valve

I'm a bit confused, the LA211 won't fit on a modern BX, I have a BX2200 and BX2660. Is yours like this? If you don't get and exact seal on the return line, it won't budge.

Are you sure it’s not a fluid deficit? Raise and lower, turn your tires, cycle everything then check fluid. Best of luck.

This may be silly question, but does the loader require a power-beyond hookup? Without a backhoe, wouldn't a power and return line be sufficient?

You still have the 3-point valve which is downstream of the loader. If you don't use power beyond and you try to lift the 3-point while moving the loader you will have to build enough back pressure between the loader and the three-point to lift the three-point hitch before the loader will be able to move.

I think you might be on to something. I was suspicious that this might have been the cause myself. My tech does not agree with me. I am still waiting to hear from Kubota. Tomorrow I will try to cap off the power beyond off on the block, then will just try using the power and tank lines to see if that does something. Thanks.

Don't cap off the power beyond. That WILL blow up your pump if there isn't a pressure regulator upstream of it.
