Tonite I took the FEL off just to see how long it would take me and how difficult (It took about 10 min.). I found that the dealer put 2 quick disconnects on the side of the tractor and one on the fel which leaves about a foot of hose dangling on the side of the tractor when the fel is off. I think I will ask the dealer to change it so the dangling hose is left on the fel. I also found I was missing 3 dust caps. That's irritating.

Anyway, I backed out of the garage and for kicks raised the MMM or I should say I tried. The hydraulics didn't work and the mower stayed in the down position. No funny noise. Nothing. Hmmm.

Next I drove back into the fel and hooked it back up (5 min tops). I tried the lift again and, viola', the mmm raised itself as it should. What gives? Am I supposed to close a valve somewhere when I take off the fel?

BTW: I can see that once I master the learning curve, it shouldn't take but 3 min to take on/take off the fel. What a clever design. My tractor and I are doing some serious male bonding.

Mark, hook the dangling hoses together so your 3ph wiil work.

Oh ... well, I'll be darn. I guess that's what I get for not reading directions. And I guess that takes care of the dangling hose problem and missing covers as well. I bet the next thing you are going to tell me is that the hoses are color coded so I'll know which hose goes to which hose.

So THAT'S why they call you the Kubmech.
