BX2200 Hydraulics

Per my previous post "Got it Today" (posted yesterday) I developed a hose leak on the FEL which the dealer gladly came today and fixed. Well.........after about two hours of operating the BB today, I developed a leak from the implement feed line on the hydraulic outlet! What a bummer! I always try to be optimistic and I know things happen. I am not abusing this machine. Is this a common problem?

My BX2200 leaked at the same area shortly after getting tractor and using FEL. It turned out that the fittings were not very tight. The dealer put teflon tape on all the fittings and reinstalled. I haven't had any more trouble. Hope yours is a simple fix like mine.

That's funny because I had the same thing with my BX2200. The fittings going into the hydralic outlet block on the transmission were leaking the first time I used my loader. Being a mechanic I went after it myself and when I removed the steel lines I could not believe that the fittings were merely hand tight into the block, so I just did the teflon tape thing and tightened everything up. I gave my dealer heck about it but their excuse was that this part was preassembled in the FEL kit and they didn't bother to check how snug the fittings were before installing everything assuming they were already tight.

I Have seen this also, it's common for us to take the two fittings and tape them, except the fitting with the o-ring, I simply assure it is aligned and tightened.
