Just installed a TinyTac. After running for about 50 minutes the idle RPM is showing 1260 is that normal. If not how do you adjust the RPMs on a BX2200

That's about what my tiny-tach reads on my BX22. Seems like I read a post somewhere that BX's low idle is set around 1250.

rlw, where did you happen to purchase your Tiny-Tach for your BX-22? TYIA

Tom posted the correct website www.tinytach.com
Follow the link to "Commercial Models". The model for diesels is at the bottom of the page. Also you'll need to specify your fuel line diameter. For the BX, the 6mm size is the right one.

I think I will order a Tiny Tach.
How and where did you mount yours?
Any installation problems?

Thanks

I installed one on my bx-22 and the installation is very simple.
Sorry do not have a photo.

Attached are photos of where/how I mounted the tach. I just have it mounted with velcro tape. I didn't really want to drill holes in the dash. The wires are just run through the crack at the grill and then over to the left side through the firewall where the steering hydraulic hoses pass through. You can see where I attached the sensor to the fuel line. You have to sand the paint off the line prior to attaching the sensor. I sprayed everything grey after installing it. One of these days I may get around to drilling a small hole in the dash to pass the wires through - although I have had no problem with them running down the front of the dash. When I first installed it, I wanted to make sure it worked before I started drilling holes.

Wow, you guys must have read my mind! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif I was going to post here tonight asking what people with BX's did about a tach. Seems like a silly ommission on a deisel tractor to me. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
