BX2200 knob - what the heck is it?

Hi Folks,

I've got another really dumb question! What is that knob below the seat on the BX2200 for? It looks like it might be for hydraulic adjustment to the rear, but I'm not sure. It has a symbol on it that resembles the lowering and raising of the mower deck lever. Didn't see a description of it in the operators manual. Tried calling the dealer but the line was busy. Right now it's set turned all the way counterclockwise, which by the symbol would mean "up." ?? I was wondering if that had anything to do with the hydraulics that might affect FEL optimal operation??

If the knob is the same as it is on the rest of the Kubota line (and I'll presume it is), I believe it adjusts the rate that the 3PH will lower.

Thats it. Close to slow 3ph or mmm drop rate, open to speed up.

You're not a village idiot; just the normal learning curve you will go through. Don't worry about sounding stupid. The only stupid question is the one you don't ask (especially if it gets you hurt or in trouble).

I have a similar question. On my BX2200 and on pics posted to this site there is a covered "button" sticking up just to the right of the steering wheel.
Any ideas of what it is for? I assumed it was for some attachment I have yet to buy.

You don't mean the hood release do you?

I don't know. This one is on the dash just to the left of the steering column. I have fiddled with it. Doesn't really move at all. I don't recall it being mentioned in the manual.
But if it is the hood release I will have to take over the "village idiot" title from wooden horse.

The hood release looks like a little rubber stick, it's to the right of the steering column. You don't push it, you slide it forward. The only thing to the left of the steering column are the light switches.

I added an auxillary switch on my dash for a 12v sprayer, you might be seeing a picture of someone who has added additional switches.
