Timn.n.h; I, for one, never interpreted it as put down. Your statement certainly has validity. Being and 'adolescent' (between GT and Compact), the BX can freely wander between both worlds (to a degree). For myself, I have a dump cart and a lawn sweeper left over from my LT days that I have used. (Dump cart only once, the loader pretty much totally obsoletes a cart that small). So, rather than have to purchase accessories immediately, we can phase-in our purchases. Use the old-toys until we buy the bigger toys /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif.

Yes, his argument was that the B7500 is a real tractor and that the resale is much much higher than on a lawn tractor. The BX according to him is considering a garden tractor and resale is much lower.

The only issue I would question is ground clearace. The low squat of the BX compared to the 7500 is a big plus for stability, but you do lose a lot of clearance. For me, the BX wouldn't be suitable for snow removal, as I use a rear blade usually driving the tractor forward, so I have to ride over the snow before the blade moves it. If you were planning on using a rear blower, a rear blade facing backward and used with the tractor driven backward, or a front blade or blower, this wouldn't be a problem as the snow will be moved before the tractor hits it.

Well, regardless of what that dealer thinks, he is confused. The BX is a subcompact utility tractor. He just wants to sell you a "bigger" unit with a higher profit margin. The only difference in size between the BX and the 7500 is the wheels and tires. The BX should have a frame as stiff and strong as the 7500 and I bet the 60 lbs weight difference is mostly in the larger tires, and slightly larger engine, not frame etc. I have certainly never see a garden tractor that can pull a box blade like my BX does or any of the other things it does just as well and maybe better than the 7500. I never saw a GT with bevel gear 4WD, or differential lock, or an FEL or a cat1 540 RPM hitch or a flat deck or lots of other things taken together spell small tractor. GT--good grief! Here is the copy from a USA today add for the BX---"The power and versatility of a compact utility tractor and the comfort and manuverability of a garden tractor. The pride of owning the worlds only sub-compact tractor." The add distictly does not say "almost" the power and versatility of a comapct tractor! I would imagine they are referring to their 7500 in that add. Since I actually had both here in my yard I would not count on the 7500 being able to out pull the BX and if so it would be only by a slim margin. I am absolutely certain the BX could pull my neighbors JD 455 GT (their biggest) backwards effortlessly and I am just as certain even if we could get my box blade on his 455 it would spin helplessly as soon as the blade dug in but what is impressive is the way the BX just keeps going. Too bad I could not keep both the BX and the 7500 then I would have a dyamic duo.
