The BX does not have those, the BX has something better, a height control knob with a TOP (lock) position. This knob is located down on the floor between the fenders. To disengage it put the 3-point lever full up, rotate the knob to the lowest number position and then put the 3-point lever to down. To relock, repeat in reverse.
After my little snow plowing experience I can see that the MMM would be in the way if the snow were much deeper or if this was something you do all the time. Here it is fairly infrequent so I am just leaving mine on. The BX has as much ground clearence with the MMM on as does the B2410 with the MMM on. J

You should definitely take the deck off for winter. You will find that it is so easy to do and takes so little time that you'll be removing the deck several times per summer to make it easier to get at the blades for sharpening. It also makes it easier to grease that middle bearing, change the engine oil, etc.

KAZ you should take your deck off and get a set of mower deck axles so you can stand your deck up vertically, only takes up 13" of space. these things are great, ask any one here that has a set infopop homepage /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

as an early purchaser of the axle set, I can tell you that they are worth every cent that they cost. You run the risk of doing more damage to the deck than the axle set costs. The axle set is a good buy at twice the price!!!!!
