BX2200 squeaking MMM height knob.

My MMM height knob on my BX2200 is squeaking against the body and it is very loud.
Has anyone else had this problem, how can I solve it, I am just stuffing a rag around the shaft for now.

My shaft was tight against the hole in the floor pan and would not turn. Dealer said shaft was welded on wrong at factory. He ground the hole in the floor pan into a oval instead of a round hole and touch up the paint, everthing is fine now.
