BX2200 stability

I plan to buy a ballast box for the 3 pt when I get my new tractor. Gotta have something to counteract the weight of the FEL. Otherwise, keep a rear implement on, but your attention to FEL work may divert it from having to watch clearances for rear equipment. The ballast box doesn't stick out much.

One of the problems with dual wheels is they're likely to stick out past stuff, like the FEL when using it for clearing snow or bushhogging is they stick out past the implement you're using. Have this problem on my Gravely with dual wheels.

With weighted tires and an implement my BX was more stable than another little digger...(see pic)

It looks like I drove where it is, I didn't. If you'll notice
the big root under the left track. I was up on the ledge no
where near the ditch. The plateau has a slight slope. In
moving the machine at one point the weight was on that root
and the machine just slide sideways like someone was pushing
me.

My heart must be in good condition as I think it stopped for
a few seconds during this./forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif Picture was taken as I was trying
to get the boom turned 90 degrees by dragging it. I was afraid
to lift it of the ground as the dirt was right by the windows.

Sideways rides in 30K lb machines not fun.
