Oops, found everything anyone would ever want to know about these hoses on a search here.

i disagree with kubota's thinking here but if all bx owners would like to open there owners manual (i know its still probably in the plastic bag it came in) to the service schedule page they will see that the power steer hoses are to be replace every 2 years. so kubota say its not a problem but a servicing issue. personally i thing 2 years out of a hyd hose is rubbish. we have a after market set in stock at all times. they are a bit bigger which makes them even harder to fit but they last forever.

Man.. 2ys... I'd agree... WAY dismal... I have hyd hoses on antique tractor / laoders.. still fine...

2.5 weeks ago- getting that last mowing done so I could head for vaca....BINGO- same leak!!!
After tearing the dash apart and deciding I didn't have a thin enough crescent wrench to remove the hoses from the steering unit, my 2200 was enroute to the 'hospital'.
I had them replace the hoses to the hydro pump (Kubota parts) and also those to the front rack (dealer-made).
My first hydraulic hose (to the controller) went last Feb.

If yours start to go- replace them all and save yourself the ongoing hassle!!!
