The original battery finally died on the little Bota, after 8 years. so i need a new one. but the battery does not have any markings on it for me to tell how many cranking amps etc. anyone know what decent (not to expenseive) one to get

So many places sell batteries. WalMart, Sears, Sam's Club, Auto Parts Stores, TSC. Your Group 26R battery isn't some strange, never-to-be-found battery. Should be pretty easy to find a price point you like for the quality you desire.
