Looking at new BX2200 in northern AL -- quoted dealer price ~$10800 with 60' MMM. Have seen as low as ~$9500 in forum/other parts of country. I am newbie - should I try to get this for less than 10k? Anyone out there know of dealers in my area in which I might get better deal??

I agreed on $10,375 for a BX2200 and 60" mmm....I thought it should have been $10,000 max...but supply was short and demand high.
Ended up with a block heater and heavy duty alternator for an additional $125...
Hard to call on the price. Prices differ depending on where you are...
But this is what I paid in SW PA....at the end of July...2003

Go to Kubota.com and click on subcompacts, then click on dealers and type in you zip code...will give you options. Only dealer I know of in the south is Fiser (800) 776-4069. Gave me a price for $10,200. Good luck with your search. Your price does seem a bit high but you may only save a couple hundred by searching. May be better off getting prices and negotiating with your local dealer since he will be servicing your machine. See what your local dealer can do and remind him you will buying supplies, parts and service from him for years to come.

The dealer I purchased from is about 1 hour away. I thought about traveling 15 minutes away to another state to save on sales tax, but the service was better at the dealer in my state. I can justify paying $700 in sales tax b/c I know I will get prompt service. I was told that no matter what time of year, I will have my tractor back within 5 days! That says a lot. I paid $9895.00 for BX2200 with 60in MMM.

I don't know if you're willing to wait a month or two. Kubota is making some changes to the BX series and will have the new model out in the fall. I don't know what changes they're doing, my dealer told me it'll be minor stuff. However, it might be worth waiting. My guess is they'll extend the financing again.
