well- having spent better part of an evening reattaching the 54"mower to my 2230 after using the blower for about 1.5 hours this whole winter I have 3 questions.
1. are all four ( front and rear) anti-scalp rollers to be set 1/4 to 1/2" off the ground?
2. when I removed the front lever to attach the blower this winter I also removed 2 long pins that went thru the front link bracket- are they to be replaced?-I couldn't line any up with the proper holes when I attached the front link.
3. the rear links would not lower until i helped by pressing down on them-since then they work fine-should I be concerned?-hydraulic fluid levels are full so I don't think it is that.
what a fun time on this baby.
who knows where tractorforum. com went ?

Better part of an evening? Dang. I've only had my deck on and on twice and its a 15 minute job now. You should have all wheels set at the same height according to the manual.

If you have nothing on the 3 pt or the mower is not on, you might have to give them a tug to get them to drop. They are not heavy enough on their own to drop.

On your second question, I'm not sure what pins your talking about. Can you post a picture of the pins your talking about. The mover only have three parts that you remove for the season.

If I follow your question: The two long pins that hold the front mount for the blower on the frame, stay with the blower mount, you don't need them for the mower deck. They will be in the way of the deck assembly.

The mower deck has the front link (from deck to frame) and lever assembly (attached front link to frame). The lever has a spring loaded pin in it to hold it in the "up" position once the whole thing is assembled.

av8r- now I remember- those did come with the Kubota quick hitch. The older I get the weaker my memory-need to do more crosswords or something.
thanks lots

Just make sure to keep all the parts for the snowblower together so next winter you won't be looking all over for the last piece to mount it on the tractor. I have found that making a copy of the installation pages and storing them with the implement saves a lot of time when a senior moment hits. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Also, The little wedge shaped blocks on the "T" screws which hold the top of the quick mount: $20 each.
