You mentioned getting it financed. I honestly don't know how one goes about getting a used tractor, such as this, financed in a quality, low interest way.
Just me.

I know a lot of dealers assist with financing of their used inventory. Sometimes, the interest rates eat up the savings on buying a "good deal". In my experience, buying used to save a bunch of money, which I have done many times, involves a cash deal to make it work. Just my experience.

Well, now the deal looks a little better. But still, I'd wait until it was sitting on your property with all of the attachments before handing over a certified check. Be sure to get a receipt or bill of sale.

I'm surprised it is still available at that price after the time it has taken to do the back-and-forth on TBN. Go for it if a tractor that size will fit your needs. But that is the question you raised in your original post.

I'm really surprized that it's still available. I'm curious why he doesn't know how many hours are on it. Hour meter broke or??? If it's really a legit deal, as I mentioned in my earlier post, you could buy it and if it doesn't work out sell and get your money back. Be careful and good luck.

the guys says that the tractor has about 150hrs on it and all of the implements work with no problem.

in case anyone wants to take a look at this deal, here it is. I'm going to pass on it, so I figured someone else might like to see it

Kubota BX 2230

i think i'm going to try to get a deal worked out with a new JD, NH, or kubota with all of these financing deals now. it's pretty hard to pass up when i can probably get something brand new with almost everything i need for about 250-300 a month

That is good thinking. The zero finance made my decision as well last summer. But, I might also have taken advantage of dealer financing as low as 5% on used stuff, had he had something appropriate. Be sure to allot a small sum for insurance on a lien mandated policy.

what can i expect them to charge for delivery, and how much are you talking about for insurance, etc.? i'm less than 50 miles from all brand dealers

Delivery is part of the dealer's cost of doing business. It is built into his overhead, profit margin and your cost. I don't think I would pay an additional fee.

Insurance. Kubota Insurance is pretty darn good, according to guys here on the forum. They even pay for some damages and repairs. Not bad. I had an Inland Marine rider put on my homeowners. About the same price. $110 a year? Cannot remember, but that's about right, or less!

Dealers generally deliver for no charge. Or at least you can negotiate it into the deal. Kubota will finance all of the additional implements into the deal for the 0% as well is my information.

Kubota insurance for a $32,000 tractor is $25/month. It covers your tractor everywhere and against everything except abuse and neglect - it is excellent. Homeowners insurance only covers damage for what is on your property and then you have to fight with them. Kubota will replace the entire tractor if necessary for the $250 deductable.

Do a search on this site for Kubota Insurance and you will get a eye full of information.

0% is what made the decision for me on both of my machines. I used the money I had for a used machine as a down payment and then financed the rest. Plus I was able to get exactly what I wanted. Delivery should be included in the deal for the distance you mentioned. Now the possibilities really open up. Have fun because whatever you do you're going to get a tractor to play with!
