How does $800.oo sound?

Thanks,

I will keep that in mind. I'm going to try and make a visit to one of the local dealers here and see what all my options are.

Do you have pictures of the mower deck? and where are you located? I can't imagine it would be cheap to ship something that big and heavy.

I just bought a BX1850 and will use it to mow instead of my Wheel Horse. I have 2 acres with just under one acre of grass, but it's a bit spread out (not a nice square plot) with lots of trees. My biggest issue so far has been the ROPS - had to cut quite a few limbs to get it to fit under them. I went with the 54" deck only due to being able to trim closer to things vs the 48", which is what I have on the WH. On any BX, 48" will barely clear the path of your tires. If you move down to a 48" deck from 60", you might actually have more trimming to do, unless your issue is more getting between things.

Unfortunately its the width that is the problem.....I have a few places that I'm not sure the 48" deck will even fit. I can drive all the trails with the tractor and no deck, but with the 60" on, no way.

1*South east Ohio
2*Probably not but I doubt that the shipping would be half the price of a new mower.

1*My new BX1500 replaces the new CC Gt2554 I bought back in 66.
2*I have 2&1/3 acres.
3*I trimmed all the low hanging limbs when I got the BX23 back in 2004.
The BX23 ROPS is a lot taller than the Rops on the BX1500 and I850 so I have plenty of room under the branches/limbs for the Bx1500.
4*I went with a 48'' mower but should have gotten a 54'' deck like I have on the CC.
All's not lost completely though.
At least the BX23 Has a 60 in belly mower on it.
5*I know cause that's what's on my BX1500.
Anybody lookin for a 48'' Kubota MMM?

Kinda old post, but I'm still shopping....I'm going to go see a new BX1860 and test drive for the first time tomorrow. Its always nice to have new stuff and its fun to kick the tires, but so far it looks like I will be keeping my equipment for awhile. Trade in value on the 2230 has been depressing and I'm not expecting the dealer tomorrow to be vastly different from the first two quotes I got.

Lbrown59, did you get any pictures of your mower deck yet? If you were closer, I would be much more interested in making the trip. I will check availabilty/price of the smaller deck tomorrow also.

For what the dealers want for trade in difference, I am more inclined to put that money towards a 48" deck, a DR chipper/shredder, maybe a tiller, and still have money left. LOL

The Deere will sell in the spring no problem if I decide to, but there has been several times this year its been nice to have both machines.....just need a bigger garage or a new shed.

Any new comments?
