BX2230- Diff Lock?

Edit: Actually, what year is this? Must be an older model as I see no BX2230 on the site.
Did a bit of searching, turns out there are two pedals on the left, one is a steel rod looking thing and that is the parking brake latch. Press brake on right side, and set with this latch on the left.
The second is a pedal with a round pad on it. This is the diff lock.

No split brakes. And even if it did, Kubota has this way of making them nearly USELESS by putting them on the same side as the forward/reverse Rocker/Tredal, forcing you to swing your left leg to the right side to have any hope of using them. No, kubota is not the only company that does this, and its no less stupid on other brands.

Some look that they can't live without the steering brakes and some get along just fine without them. In the tractor business there is a lot of damage done to the fronts of tractors where people use the brakes. Just saying some pay thousands for the repairs as they normally don't break till out of warrantee!
All of the old school tractors we have ever owned had split brakes. It made sense because these were all field tractors and the brakes helped to turn the tractor on a dime to get you set up to plow the next row. As far as SCUT's go, there may be a use for say,,,,, actually no, I see no reasonable purpose for having split brakes on a SCUT at all. And even less when they put them on the same dang side as the forward reverse pedals.
Thanks for your replies. The tractor is a 2005 and isn't on this site.
I understand how using split brakes can be hard on the front end. They would be useful keeping the unit going when heading up a greasy side hill which I'll occasionally have to do. The differential lock should help.

As noted by others, the BX2230 has a differential lock. So does the BX2200 it's predecessor and subsequent BXxx50, BXxx60 and BXxx70.
Like others I grew up farming with split brakes and used them in the fields to do a 90 or 180 at the end rows and to tap in the mud or to steer a bit in slippery situations. I have yet to find a need for one on a SCUT; none on our Kubota or John Deere.
Lots of previous threads on here about split brakes. I sue them on our M8540, but have no use for them on any of the CUTS I have ever owned. On my L5740, you can use them if needed by using the cruise control in lieu of your HST pedal, but only going forward. The new Lxx60 Series has moved the brakes to the left side just like John Deere and others. That was one of the reasons I bought an L40 instead of waiting on an L60, each to his own.

Think about it. If you hit the brake on the left side, the tractor is going to try to pivot on the rear left side. What is that going to do to the front end? Its going to try to slide the front end against the front tires instead of rolling on them as in normal turns. The split brake worked the best on tricycle tractors that could also turn exceedingly sharp.

When you push the pedal for the Differential Lock, do it gently at a very slow speed, not when the wheels are slipping fast or you'll trash it. You have to give it time to mesh. The 2230 also has 4wd which I find more useful than the dif lock.
I haven't measured it but our BX2230 is only maybe 6 feet from stem to stern and has a correspondingly small turning radius. You wouldn't need split brakes for turning in any practical situation... I've never once felt the need for them in 8 years and hundreds of hours of BX operation.
The diff lock is another story. Yes, it's there and can be very useful on such a light tractor to improve traction and pulling power.
