So you clean the strainer even though it is not included in the 50 hr. service.

I would and I did even though it does not call for it at the 50hr service. I had very little metal particles on the strainer. It’s all about peace of mind. Couple of things to keep in mind when you remove the strainer.
1st you do not have to remove the left rear tire to pull the strainer out.
2nd be careful when removing and installing the strainer. There are two o’ring seals (both are the same size) one inner and one outer. When you unscrew the strainer try not to disrupt the metal tube that it also holds in place, that way you won’t bother the inner seal. What I did was use one finger to hold the metal tube from moving while I unscrewed the strainer. Just make sure you don’t pinch the outer seal when you reinstall the strainer. Make sure it is seated correctly.

I did the service this weekend. I also changed the fuel filters. Although I didn't time it, I would say it took me around 2 hours.
I did not clean the strainer, as I did not have the right socket and it was not called for at 50 hours. I had already had to make one trip into the dealer (30 minutes), because he sold me the wrong oil filter. I really didn't want to make another trip to pick up a socket. I will be sure to get one though. Thanks for the heads up.

I am getting ready for my 50 hour service too. So a 26 mm for the strainer...got it. How about for the engine oil plug and the tranny fluid plug? Anybody know what sizes those are??
