I'm looking for a rear grader blade and box blade for my BX2230.

I found a local mfg no far from home.

Anyone heard of A&B Eagle Implement in Sweetwater TN?

Anyone used their stuff?

I bought a really nice box blade from A&B Eagle for my JD 4710. It is a monster weighing in at about 975 lbs. They are great to deal with and will work with you to get you exactly what you need. They make the stuff themselves and it is top quality. It may not be the cheapest you'll find but it will last forever.

I would be careful with the 2230 and make sure that the BB will work well with the lower linkage on your BX. The new 23 and 24 have higer geometry on the 3pt, however I have a bx1500 and bought the KK xb BB (48"). It wieghts about 300lbs and has done a very good job for me. The sidewall height is about 12" as apposed to 16 or 18" for some of the regular size BBs. This extra clearance helps a lot when lifting the box with the rippers in. If I had bought a full sized BB, I would have considerably less clearance at full lift, especially with rippers down. In PA, mine ran about $350.

Good luck with the purchase.:)

I gotta agree that KK XB series are nice iron for scuts. TSC carries them and they are relatively expensive. Pound for pound more expensive that regular KK. But they ARE Kubota orange :)

Shipping costs are so high for implements that local fabricators can really compete, esp. for simple things like blades, subsoilers, etc. Your local guy may be just fine.

It's true that standard Cl 1 implements don't fit all that great on BX's.

Warning: Once you have a boxblade there is no going back.

I'd have to agree with the other posts about avoiding full-size rear implements on the BX 2230. I bought a full-size rear blade for my BX 2230, and although I don't regret buying it, I wonder now if I would have been better off looking at something smaller. Maybe not. Your three point hitch has low ground clearance even at the highest point, mostly because it hangs back so far behind the tractor (which is actually a good thing for grading and pulling snow).

I'm looking at a Land Pride RBT15 60inch (283#) for my BX2230.

It is also 14"tall - is this to big?

While the BX 3PH is on the small side, to say the least, it can work with full sized implements. One thing that makes this possible is to drill new holes in the lower clevis of the lift rods, so the lower arms will lift a bit more. There are threads in the archive about doing this. It is a simple modification.

I share some implements between my BX and B2910. I have no desire to use the smaller BX specific implements on the larger tractor, so it I use what I got or don't use them at all. Granted the 5' brush hog is not usable with the BX...

Attached is a picture of a 6' KK landscape rake on the back of my BX after I made the modification mentioned above. Before I made the modification, I could not swing the rake around as the tip hit the ground. Now I can swing it around without problem.

Standard implements CAN work with the bx 3PH as the picture proves to some degree. The real limitation is the trator, as it does not have the same ability to put the power to the ground as a larger tractor with the same HP does, or might, to take the middle road...:)

I'm searching, but not finding. I take it you just drill holes as far up in the clevis as possible?

Hi all:

I bought the cheap $69 Harbor Freight quik attach thing so now my 3pts are about 6" farther back which translate to more height when lifted besides being so much nicer to just back into and lift and lock (yes some I have to get off seat to fold holdup arm up and pin) Also see just the bottom 2 arm attchment on e-bay for $59 but think you might have to lengethen top arm to level.
