BX2230 or BX23

Today I talked to 2 different dealers. All 3 I talked to agree that the Woods backhoe is at least as good and probably better than Kubota's.
I found as many said that the BX23 should be less. My local dealer does not have any BX23's in stock so ordering another is the reason he wants more for it than the 2230. He has 5 or 6 2230's in stock as well as Woods backhoes.
I've pretty much decided not to pay more for a 2230 than a BX23.
A dealer about 60 miles from me is in the same situation. He is out of BX 23's and has several 2230's and Woods backhoes. He did give me more correct pricing in that the BX 23 is less, however his prices are over $1000 more than my local dealer.
I contacted a John Deere dealer today who gave me a price of $17200 for a new 2305 with loader 62"mmm a woods BH6000. Seems like a good price to me.
Tomorrow is the last day for the Kubota incentives.
Hard to decide.
Maybe the incentives will continue /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I have a BX23, love it. Have not had a problem with the rops, and I like that they are foldable........could be MORE as in all the way down, but what the hey.

My BH is strong enough to do anything you would not want to do with a shovel, and more. The biggest problem with this is the BH will pull the tractor if you get on a stubborn root etc. I find the controls easy to use. Taking it off and on the tractor is easier than even the FEL. The one thing I dont like is I have to take the 3pt arms off to put it on, so if you are switching from BH to say tiller, you have a little more conversion work to do.

Akso I would think that the BH sitting out on the 3pt arms would change the center of gravity some.

As for price, not sure. I have had both 2200 and 23. both are fine tractors

He's killing you on the price of the BX23, with the BX24 cming out, dealers around here are blowing the BX23 out the door for less than $14K.

I have a BX2230 with a Woods FEL and BH. The OEM BH is not better or worse than the Woods. The Woods has some design features that Kubota has copied on the new BX24 hoe. The Woodas BH6000 is also a bit stronger in real life use regardless of what the specs state. I've been using both side by side in a comparison in NY state for the last few months.

From where you're at, come visit Messick's. The drive could save you over $5K based on what your local guy is doing.

I doug two dealers that are still charging full boat even though Kubota has a ton of dealer/customer incentives to unload the BX23s before the BX24 is fully announced and shipping dates are set.

So far, I have yet to see the BX24 info per Kubota. I have yet to see a price also. I would think just get a BX23 since I do not think the BX24 is going to break the BX market with huge upgrades.
