Price Check BX2230 price?

The owner has passed away and we need to get an idea as to what this machine is worth.
I'm told these were made just 2 years 2006-7 and the 60 inch deck is 2-3 years young. Tractor has 778 hours. Seems low to me.

Manufactured from 2004 - 2006. The deck does appear newer than the tractor, as it has black plastic pulley covers and discharge chute. Those parts are orange metal on my deck from 2005. Hours are average for the age. A lot of value for used equipment relates to condition, of course. Suggestion for estimating value/selling price... check some of the online tractor selling sites: Tractordata and Fastline usually have extensive listings. Note price will vary depending on whether tractor does/does not have loader.

The answer to your pricing question is - 'It depends'.

Do you want to sell it quickly to the first person to look at it? Can you wait a month or two while the looky-loos show up in their minivans with no cash in hand?

If I were selling it, I would ask 5500 and get it sold by the end of the week for 5200 or 5 grand, give or take. Some may ask 6500 or 7 grand and have to wait and wait. Depends upon your needs and your situation. 778 hours is low-ish for a tractor but not low for a SCUT.
