Does anyone have a Model 22 RB from Midwest on your BX? Its a CAT 1 hitch but I can't seem to get the RB to mount. I think the mounts from the Woods BH are keeping the 3 pt arms from spreading fully but I'm not 100% sure of that.

I was told that all CAT 1 implements will fit a BX2230, but I'm beginning to think that is not the case.

Best thing to do is to spread your arms and measure the distance between them. Then post that measurement for others to compare their tractor measurement to yours.

Should he measure at his elbows or wrists when he spreads his arms? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

(Sorry Junkman, I just couldn't resist.)

On a more serious note, you might reverse the pins on the implement and it see if it fits. With the pins reversed the arms would fit inside the implement and would be about 1 1/2" or 2" narrower. Hope that makes sense.

Hi Matt,

I've read in several places that BX arms will not take all Cat. 1 implements. Please help me with something I'm unclear about. This is the second thread you've started in 2 weeks on this subject. Click here to view the first thread. There were a number of suggestions and reply questions posted to you. I do not want to be tedious and repeat all those things again, so I'll just ask: Was there anything helpful in the previous thread?

BTY, I saw in the sales forum that you're still interested in additional turf tires for your BX2230. I know there are other guys just like me who have R4s on the tractor and turfs just sitting in storage which we would be glad to sell to you at very reasonable cost. If you are interested, I encourage you to do a little "fishing" in this forum.

My BX lift arm specs. are on that other thread. Mine seem to spread the farthest at mid-height. Good luck with this.

Tom I'll have to measure the spread and post that. The suggestions from before helped on the aerator but did nothing for the RB unfortunately. The pins can't be moved to the inside due to the design.

You'll need close to 26" spread for that rear blade. I hope you can do it, as my neighbor wants to borrow my Midwest rock rake, which has the same exact 3pt frame as my RB 2260 to use on his BX22. I can't remember on the BX 3ph, but aren't the bottom links adjustable for width?

I have a Kioti RB22-60 on my BX23 - Midwest makes this blade for Kioti in orange which is why I got it - I wanted to match the tractor. I posted some pictures in this thread of the modifications I made to my blade so that it would lift high enough with the BX 3pt. I dont recall if I ever had a problem with the lower arm spread because I don't think I ever even tried to attach it using the Cat1 pins. I also have a Speeco quick hitch and I believe I put the quick hitch pins on as soon as I got the blade. Before I got the Speeco I used my Woods GBC48 box blade on the BX 3pt and had a heck of time getting that on - and I know that the GBC is designed for SubCUT's like the BX.

I think even if you manage to get the arms over the pins you are going to find that you don't have much lift capability. The mod I did to my blade took me a few hours but made the blade work excellent on the BX. I can even turn the blade all the way around using the tilt and swivel feature without having to take it off the tractor.

26" should be easily done. Make sure you are at mid height and open the turnbuckles as far as they will go. I have no idea whether your Woods BH6000 subframe may have compromised the max. spread.

I can't seem to grasp why you are having the problem that you have, unless you are not loosening the turnbuckles that hold the three point arms from swing outward. As I said before, my arms will open to 34 inches between the arms, so your arms shouldn't bind up on the balls on the front end. I don't understand what is stopping your arms from spreading unless it is the turnbuckles. Let us know if anything we suggest helps.

For what it's worth, a Land Pride RB1560 Cat 1 works fine on the BX2230. RB pins tip to tip are 32". Only mod needed was 3PH lift height improvement which has been documented here on TBN.
