BX23 Front axle hairline crack

Folks,

I'm having a little leak problem on my front right axle, it sort of comes and goes, the first time I brought to the dealer he didn't find any thing, but a year went by and the leakage seems to get worse and this time he found the hairline crack, I didn't want to give up the tractor but glad that the problem is found.

Anyone out there has this issue should not assume that it is coming from the seal, but must find the source or lots of money and time could be wasted.

Interesting that you had this problem too. I have the same thing, currently waiting for parts, and there is one other here who had it.

There has been other post about this subject and I still wonder if this is a design problem or bad lot of castings? If this was a design problem I think we would have a lot more people out here complaining. I know the bx23 and bx1500 are different axles but I’m sure they are made on the same assembly line. So I’m thinking there was a bad run of these axles at one point. Being in the automotive end I see an awful lot of this stuff ending up on vehicles without a recall only a service bulletin on the matter.
