As I am one phone call away from sealing a deal ona BX23....one last question.

For owners of BX22, BX23 machines.....Do you have any regrets about buying your machine? Has it lived up to your expectations?

What shortcomings have you noticed?

Thanks,

Rob

As a BX2200 owner who bought before the BX22 was released, I only have one regret---I wish I had a backhoe...

If you're comfortable with the size of the machine to do what jobs you have in mind, you'll love it.

As a BX23 owner I wish I had a small machine long ago it does so many things that my bigger machines can't get into with out a real lot of damage to the landscape.

Bought mine in August, '03, and only regret I didn't get one sooner. The people who disparage the BX22/23, have never owned one, and the people who own one, love 'em. It's a powerful machine in a subcompact package. By the way, a backhoe tends to increase your popularity with the neighbors/family. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

You know, thats what I thought. It basically comes down to the backhoe.... Do I "Need" it...no. But it sure looks cool.

No regrets here.

But are you sure you don't need the backhoe? They're a lot of fun. And useful too!

Most of us probably don't use the 'hoe all that much. In fact, I'll guestimate that LOML and I use the FEL 70% of the time and the MMM 20% of the time. What's left is other implements, including the 'hoe. But you know...when I need it, it's there for digging and it makes a wonderful hunk of weight when I'm plowing snow in the winter! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif I started out with a BX2200 and had "no 'hoe regrets". When the BX22 came out, it was almost a no brainer once I found the right deal. Two days after taking delivery, the electrician was here putting in new service out to my woodworking shop and his ditch-witch broke hopelessly after only about 4' of a 100' trench. Guess who learned how to use the backhoe really fast? /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

I agree with everything said up to this point. I've had mine for almost a year and I can't imagine anything that would more precisely fit my needs. Like you, I have ~ 7 acres. I finish mow (60"MMM) ~ 4 acres, and the BX does a far better job than I expected, far better than what I had. I've used the BH to plant a bunch of trees and dig up a bunch of stumps and bamboo. The loader is handy beyond words. The best part is, I can switch it from a lean, mean mowing machine to a snarling, dirt-throwing mini-beast in about 15 minutes. Kinda' like a swiss army knife on wheels. Go ahead, I don't think you'll be disappointed.
