I didn't know if I would need chains before the season but have decided that so far I have not needed them and probably won't. We had a very wet snowfall of about 10" or so on Tuesday, it was more like plowing a slushy, and even going up hill pushing a full blade I had no problem at all. After I made the first couple passes and I got down to a skim coat of water and it started to freeze up I could still maintain traction. I did have a couple occasions when a full blade at an angle would push the machine around but I just adjusted the angle and pushed the snow off of the edge of the driveway and started again.
As for a cab, yes sir, I would love one. I have my eye on the 3030 but the wife has her eye on me, she does not see any problem with me being cold while she sips her tea and takes these photos.
