One mower deck I just purchased used, the prior owner put a long bolt in that hole(Part# 050) to hold the deflector up, to allow closer mowing on the right side. On dad's bagger, again bought used, we had to add a plate assembly in the deck to help grass flow into bagger. That plate (#170) in this link (http://kpadweb.kubota.co.jp/kpad2/PartsInfo.do?bookCd=100A5129&funcCd=064&figNo=V50002&dispType=2) uses that hole in your picture with #50 bolt in it. Hope this makes sense. Not at his mower deck for pictures though. Jon
You are not right! Try it! We often find one of the complaints of lack of power when the mowers come in with this problem! Fuel consumption change is another one! The other is the mowing quality as it now is not able to discharge the grass as easily. With selling the new suspension lawn mowers with grass collection systems we find that often the sag from a loaded suspension system is enough to cause this issue!
