bx23 seat recall?

i was at the dealer the other day and the techs told me about a recall for some models of the bx23 seat. I know mines a pain in the posterior and they said to bring it in and they would check and see if it was involved.

anyone else know about this or have a seat that is hard to latch or spin?

Yeh, mine is kinda sticky. I just figured it's because I rarely wash it and have never lubed it. Slaming it into position usually works. Have always had prob with the seat belt retracting fully (so it will actually come back out) due to dirt and sticks in it. Got mad last week and ripped off the rubber snout ... works great now

The center bolt broke off mine the other day and I lost one of the balls. Maybe l'll' get to the dealer and order the right stuff to fix it tomorrow. But the Up/down latch never has worked right. I need to manually play with it everytime I spin it around. It's a pita

Yeah the up down flip it around procedure on mine has always been an adventure. Have to manipulate the mechanism by hand. Kinda like feeding a wild animal by hand. You never know when it will bite.

Please post anything you get from the dealer. Ideally get a copy of any technical bulletins. I have read BX24 had a seat recall but not BX23.

My '23 seat works OK, but I am careful with it. The whole thing looks spindly, and it definitely roughs-up the seatbelt ('24 design is better that way IMO).

Appreciate youall bringing this long neglected item to my attention. I got home and sprayed my trusty New Holland Dry Film Lube w/ moly on all the appropriate areas ... works like new now!

i used white lythium greese on mine, im just worried because i can see the wear allready after 250+ hours. if there is / or isnt a recall i will let you guys know, its still under warranty (i think) so a case of warrantyitis is coming up my headlights quit workin to. I can fix all this myself if i have to but why when its freeeeeeeee, and they are 2 miles from my shack.

I have a BX 24. There was a recall for the seat. The single nut holding the seat on backed off and the seat would fall off. My dealer was very helpful, when I went in to buy oil he remembered me and pulled the recall sheet without me even knowing there was a recall. I was not contacted by Kubota. Fortunately I had a later serial number and the problem was fixed by Kubota before it was sold and that's why Kubota did not contact me.

Does anyone know if the BX23 or BX24 seats will fit the BX22?

Never had a problem but then I have always kept it oiled with motor bike chain lube. (Spray can)
